PASIR MAS: The Barisan Nasional (BN) government is able to develop Kelantan better if given the mandate by the people in the 14th General Election (GE14), said Kelantan Umno Liaison chairman Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
He said that all this time, the BN government had provided much assistance to the people through various development projects implemented for their well-being.
"If the BN succeeds in administering Kelantan in the coming GE, I will ensure this state will, among others, become number one in the agriculture sector," he said when speaking at the 'An Evening with the People' programme attended by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi at Tendong Kemubu Agricultural Development Authority (KADA) here today.
Also present were Ahmad Zahid's wife Datin Seri Hamidah Khamis, Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki and Pasir Mas UMNO division chief Senator Datuk Hanafi Mamat.
Mustapa, who is also International Trade and Industry Minister, said the federal government through its various agencies could rehabilitate abandoned land as was being undertaken in the 60-hectare of idle land in Kampung Bendang, Bunut Susu here.
