KOTA BHARU: The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (Miti) will highlight Kelantan's potential as an investment destination of choice in Malaysia.
Kelantan director, Azran Deraman said for a start, a delegation from the European Union (EU), had been invited to view the state more closely.
"This programme is an early exposure for the delegation to enable them to know Kelantan and is in line with Miti Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed's desire to highlight new areas of focus.
"There are many sectors that can be expanded and we can also consolidate them all in respect of investments.
"Being the first time, we would like the EU delegation to become familiar with Kelantan by getting to know the community and areas of interest. We can then consider developing the specifics slowly," he added.
He told reporters this after hosting a dinner for a nine-man delegation from the EU. It was led by the Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the EU to Malaysia, Luc Vandebon, here last night.
"Also present was Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) Vice-Chancellor, Prof Datuk Dr Mortaza Mohamed.
