It president and group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Azmi Abdul Aziz said the move was in line with the group's commitment to improve the public transport services.
"The current routes, operated by Rapid Penang and Rapid Kamunting, that links Perak to Penang Sentral have been receiving positive feedback from commuters," he said at the group's Hari Raya celebrations in conjunction with Rapid Penang 10th anniversary in Bayan Lepas, here.
Azmi added that Prasarana was also planning to increase the number of buses in Penang to fulfill the needs of Penangites.
"We are also looking into the prospects of introducing the use of electric buses in our fleets." he said.
